TAILORED COMMUNICATION „Promotion is not a black art“

Have you ever wondered how all the records we write about find their way into the Groove office? Nine times out of ten they are sent not by the artists or labels themselves but by a promotion agency. We had the chance to look behind the scenes of one of Berlin’s leading promoters for electronic music with clients such as Ostgut Ton, Soma Records and Hessle Audio. Tailored Communication was set up in 2006 by Melissa Taylor, who left her previous job in London in order to spread the word about artists and labels she really cares about.
